Philanthropy

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

Here at the Gamma Theta Chapter, we are honored to serve the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. Within our partnership, we have been able to interact with RMHC in various ways. Each semester, we host annual philanthropy events to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. In the spring, we look forward to hosting the silent auction and Pie a Pi. The silent auction fundraiser is held during our annual Mother-Daughter brunch, where our sisters raise money for RMH by inviting our motherly figures to have brunch and bid on baskets donated by the chapter and local businesses. As for Pie a Pi, our sisters raise money for RMH by selling tickets to be pied in the face with whip cream. We also ask for the participation of all FSL presidents, the IFC & Panhellenic presidents, and campus faculty members to make this event a success. In the fall, we host Pihop, a social pancake brunch where we invite the Alliance community to do good with pancakes. Whether it’s the silent auction, Pie a Pi, or Pihop, our sisters enjoy coming together to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. 

Along with fundraising and donating money, we are proud to sponsor a room at the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. Our sisters remain actively involved with the house year-round, by visiting and doing activities with the families to preparing meals to collecting pop tabs. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the organization we love and see our amazing philanthropy at work.
